“Colleagues were shocked when I spoke in English.” – Brican Review

“I am a teacher and was teaching in Terengganu for many years where Malay was the everyday medium. However, recently I was transferred to Kuala Lumpur school and found that everyone speaks in English. Worried, I joined this class. After just a few sessions, I handled a foreign delegates’ visit to our school and even spoke to them in English. Datin, our headmistress and my colleagues were shocked and asked me where I learnt English. They know that I couldn’t speak English before.”
